Lore:

Speedy was a miner from the land of Ephyra. One day the river ran dry, and the people tasked Speedy with finding water for them underground. Speedy dug all the way to the center of the Earth, but there was no water to be found. Once there, Speedy was approached by a hooded figure, Death Itself. Death was enraged because Speedy had intruded in his fortress in the center of the Earth, so Death chained speedy to a tunnel wall with magic unbreaking chains. 

Over the next few days, Death and Speedy began to chat to pass the time. Speedy asked Death to demonstrate how the magic chains worked, and Death was happy to oblige. Seizing the opportunity, Speedy chained Death to the wall and stole all its water bottles. Having defeated Death and secured the water, Speedy returned to the surface where everybody was now immortal. They threw Speedy a giant party, and everyone was overjoyed.

Unfortunately, Death's loyal dog Ike also knew how the magic chains worked. After Speedy had left, Ike got to work freeing Death from the chains. Death clawed its way up to the surface, captured Speedy, and forced on him a terrible punishment: Speedy was forced to mine the same tunnels again and again, trapped in a cycle of endless rebirth. 



About the Developer:

I hate making games, especially this one. My mom made me build this. I have no passion. I have no drive. Building this was like getting a cavity filled. The worst part was composing the music. And those animations? They made me want to punch the screen. Seriously, I hope this tanks. I hope it gets dismal reviews and then I can show my mom and she'll never make me program a game again!

This is very good game and I enjoyed playing it. The game froze when i run across gas, and the shop wasn't working, so it was challenging to play furthermore. What inspired you to make this game?

Thank you for reporting that! I will look into it today. I was inspired by Subway Surfer with the endless runner concept, and Spelunky with some of the graphics. 

Edit: I put out a patch to make gas clouds less laggy and *hopefully* fix the store from freezing up. The frozen store bug was hard for me to reproduce, but it did happen about one out of ten times when I played. I moved some things behind the scenes that should stop that from happening again. If it still happens, you can just refresh the page and it will remember how many coins you have. Again, I appreciate your testing and thoughtful feedback!

Edit 2: I fixed the store 100% for real this time!
